CD Solution

We joined the team and introduced an infrastructure deployment pipeline that centralized and coordinated changes made on Github by the DevOps team. This allowed for seamless scaling, and the team grew from 4 to 15 in just over a year.

We also built an automated support bot that reduced the time spent by engineers on Slack from a full day to just a few hours a day, allowing them to focus on their core projects.

To optimize their costs, we built a Kubernetes cluster to start migrating away from the Heroku platform. We replicated the use of Review Apps for QA/Developers, and upon completion, the project saved 63% of the cost of the platform.

We also contributed to Smart Pension’s certification to ISO 27001 by advising and implementing the necessary security/encryption changes to the overall platforms.

We extended AWS Pipelines capabilities to deploy Serverless/ECS Services across multiple AWS accounts and regions to support Smart Pension’s growth as they added more partners. Activities from these pipelines grew from 50 a month to more than a thousand deployments a month over a year.

To ensure the security of Smart Pension, we implemented CIS benchmark controls, automated scans, and alerts for any changes on AWS platforms that were non-compliant with security requirements. Finally, we introduced a frequent and automated PenTesting as part of the QA process.
